• Fever over 101°F (38.3°C)
• Severe pain that's getting worse
• Red streaks spreading from the site
• Difficulty breathing or chest tightness
• Severe allergic reaction (hives, swelling of face/throat)
• Signs of severe infection (green pus, extreme swelling)
