Machine Voltage Configurator Documentation

Professional voltage and speed calibration tool for rotary and coil tattoo machines

Overview

The Machine Voltage Configurator is a high-precision engineering tool designed to help professional tattoo artists calibrate their power supplies. By analyzing machine physics, stroke length, and dermal interaction, it provides the optimal voltage range for specific techniques while maintaining dermal integrity.

Key Features

How to Use

1. Select Machine Type

Choose between Rotary (slider/pen-style) or Coil (traditional electromagnetic) machines.

2. Set Stroke Length

Configure your machine's stroke length (2.5mm - 4.5mm) for accurate calculations.

3. Choose Technique

Select your intended technique: Lining, Shading, Color Packing, or Stippling.

4. Adjust Voltage

Use the interactive dial to set your voltage and see real-time Hz and impact force calculations.

Machine Parameters

Machine Type Base Voltage Hz Constant
Rotary 5.0V 15 Hz/V
Coil 4.5V 18 Hz/V

Stroke Modifiers

Stroke Length Voltage Adjustment Reason
2.5mm -0.5V Reduced mass momentum
3.5mm +0.5V Standard equilibrium
4.5mm +1.5V High resistance compensation

Technique Hz Ranges

Technique Hz Range Description
Lining 100-140Hz Fast, sharp retraction
Shading 70-90Hz Soft impact, low trauma
Color Packing Variable High-torque saturation
Stippling Variable Controlled pulse intervals

Technical Details

The tool uses a multi-variable linear regression model based on standard motor constants and machine physics:

voltage = baseVoltage + strokeModifier[length] + techniqueModifier[tech]

speedHz = voltage × hertzConstant[machineType]

impactForce = f(voltage, techniqueWeight)
