BBP & Infection Control Training Tracker: User Guide
Who has done bloodborne pathogen training, when, with whom, and when it needs renewing.
A free record keeper for studios: who has done bloodborne pathogen and infection control training, when, with whom, and when it needs renewing.
Published by Poli International. Live tool: https://poliinternational.com/bbp-training-tracker/
Administrative tool only. It logs what you enter. It is not training, it is not a certificate, and it does not certify compliance with any regulation. The proof of training is the certificate from the training provider.
Adding a person
Enter the staff member's name and role, the date the training was completed, the provider as you know it, where the certificate is filed (a note such as "Binder 2, shelf A", not an upload), and any notes.
Then choose the renewal cycle: 12, 24 or 36 months, or your own figure. The expiry date is worked out from the training date and that cycle, so the cycle is your studio's policy, not an assumption made for you. Leave the custom field blank and the tool asks for it rather than picking a number.
The expiry view
Five cards sit above the roster:
- Total staff logged
- Already lapsed — past the expiry date
- Due in 30 / 60 / 90 days
Click any card, or any filter pill, to show just those people. This is the reason the tool exists: the roster tells you who needs booking before an inspector asks.
Each row shows a status: lapsed with how long ago, or due with how many days remain.
Studio profiles
Keep separate rosters for separate premises. Add, rename and delete profiles; each keeps its own records and studio name. Records and profiles are stored in your browser only.
Printing and exporting
- Print Inspection Roster — one page, every person and status, with the studio name and date.
- Record card — a single person's card: training date, provider, filing location and status. It states plainly that it reproduces your own record and is not a certificate.
- Export CSV — the full roster or the filtered view.
- Import CSV — merge into or replace the current roster.
- Backup / Restore (JSON) — your records as a file you keep.
- Export Calendar (.ics) — renewal dates as calendar events.
Self-check
Inspection Audit Checklist reviews your own record keeping: lapsed certifications, anything due within 30 days, records with no filing reference, missing roles, whether a studio name is set, and whether the roster has anyone in it. It reports how many of those checks passed. It does not assess compliance with any regulation, and nothing it says makes a studio compliant.
Settings
Eight languages (English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch, Thai) from the top bar, light and dark themes. Your language choice is remembered and shared with the other Poli tools.
What this tool does not do
- It does not teach or summarise bloodborne pathogen training. Use an accredited provider.
- Sharps handling and disposal records: use the Sharps Disposal Tracker.
- Sterilisation cycles: use the Autoclave Calculator.
- It makes no claim about what your jurisdiction requires or how often training must be repeated.
Privacy
Everything runs in your browser. No account, no upload, no network call. Records live in local storage under this tool's own key, per studio profile, and leave your device only if you export them yourself.
