Innovation Timeline

Revolutionizing body jewelry with BioFlex, the safe and flexible alternative to metals
In the jewelry sector, Patrick recognized the need for a better material for body jewelry, one that would be safe for the body and prevent dental damage caused by metals.
After two years of research and development, this led him to develop BioFlex, a flexible, highly certified, medical-grade plastic material that is now widely used in the industry. Building on the success of BioFlex, Patrick founded Europierce Worldwide Ltd to develop a wide range of BioFlex® body jewelry.

Crafting Comfort: The story of Patrick’s custom jewelry collection for an optimal fit and skin-friendly piercings
In addition to registering with the Sheffield Assay Office in the UK under his own initials “PP”, he also created his own line of high-end body jewelry in 2001.
Jewelry made of 18-karat gold, platinum, medical-grade titanium, and surgical steel, featuring genuine diamonds and semi-precious stones, was custom-made for clients.
He believes that we should all wear the correct size body jewelry to minimize skin irritation and piercing migration while maximizing comfort. He created his own specialized tools for applying high-precision micro-wires to body jewelry made of gold, silver, titanium, and surgical steel.

Finding solutions to help breakthroughs and institutions
Since piercings aren’t always accepted everywhere in our society, Patrick found solutions to resolve the disputes between employees and companies, and between schools and students, as pierced individuals from all backgrounds wanted to keep both their jobs and their piercings.
The “Hide-it” range from BioFlex® was successfully created to appeal to both parties with retention devices for the nose, lips, and ear cartilage, once again helping the piercing industry!

From art to cinema and fashion: the craftsman of titanium and Swarovski
Patrick was contacted by film studios to develop specific titanium parts for the famous film Wallace & Gromit, for example.
He also custom made Titanium part for Duffel coats for famous Saville Row high end shops in London.

Extension of the BioFlex® range to help with pregnancy
The safe and flexible BioFlex® banana jewelry was created and became a success in the largest British retail chain, “ARGOS”.
The belly bar was designed to allow pregnant women to keep their piercing securely in place throughout their pregnancy, as the flexibility of BioFlex® accommodated the growing belly.

BioFlex® attracts worldwide attention…
Patrick worked with passion to develop the range of his “baby” BioFlex® and this led to him receiving calls and visits from the biggest body jewelry distributors around the world who put BioFlex® in their catalogues, bringing more people to the attention of the brand.

Patrick creates our exclusive process for fixing plastic crystals without glue
“Knowing that glue contains cyanide, it was impossible to bond jewelry to any material used in body jewelry.”
“We then developed our proprietary thermal process to fix crystals into plastic without using glue, which is safer for the body and has become an industry standard for hygiene.”

BioFlex® First antimicrobial jewelry well ahead of Pandemic!
With the creation of the new company BioFlex Jewelry EURL in France, he continued to innovate and introduced antimicrobial body jewelry based on Silver Ion technology well before any pandemic.
This was developed with the help of the University of Dijon laboratory in France using the BioFlex® material, which has been thoroughly tested and approved.

BioFlex® Perfume: Goodbye bad odors, hello comfort and hygiene!
Based on the latest advances in micropore technology, the BioFlex® Fragrance range was created with the help of leading perfumers in the industry.
This has eliminated unpleasant skin odors associated with jewelry, and once again, a step has been taken to improve the comfort and hygiene of people with piercings.

World-renowned scientist Yves Handrich tracks penguins with BioFlex!
Patrick was contacted by Yves Handrich, a french scientist from the CNRS renowned worldwide of the IRPC (Institut pluridisciplinaire Hubert Curien) to help him manufacture specific BioFlex pieces for penguins as part of a study tracking their migrations using GPS trackers.
The idea was not only to help science, but the penguins themselves; BioFlex® helped reduce heat transfer underwater.
Its flexibility added comfort when wearing the GPS tracker attached to the penguins’ backs and eliminated the need for metals, as it is a safe, medical-grade material.

Pushing the boundaries of security: creation of the “Push-Fit system” for body jewelry
Patrick’s concern for safety led him to create the “push-fit system,” which aims to separate the two parts of the body jewelry upon impact.
This innovation prevents skin damage in the event of an accident, making it a significant breakthrough in the industry.

Introducing the multi-purpose tube system – Say goodbye to size restrictions!
Amidst the chaos of all the different sizes of jewelry available on the market, we created the “Multi-Purpose Tube” system.
It allows people to use externally threaded, internally threaded, and snap-on jewelry on a single piece that can be cut to any length!
This solved many problems for the consumer.

From Tattooing to Sustainability: Patrick Found Poli International Co., Ltd
Today, Patrick and his son, Frederic Poli, have founded Poli International Co Ltd, which is dedicated to improving and innovating tattoo and piercing products.
Producing primarily for the disposable market while taking its environmental challenges into account, we use recyclable plastics and are developing bio-friendly materials.

From multi-purpose tubes to 12-time award-winning toys!
The idea of a multi-purpose tube system inspired a well-established American company to create an innovative toy to help children build anything they can imagine by creating a range of themed puzzle games. Wacky Links.
This range has won 12 awards from various institutions and was featured on Fox News as one of the seven best recommendations to add to a Christmas stocking.

Innovating again in the piercing process with the “Poli Clamp” design and ergonomic features
Patrick and Frederic designed the “Poli Clamp” in 2017, drawing on his many years of experience in piercing.
His innovative design featured a break point on the clamp’s teeth, allowing piercers to easily break it for use with a rubber band or to retain the plastic teeth for holding the skin during the piercing process.
He also incorporated improved ergonomics for greater comfort for both the piercer and the client, and included a series of measurement guides on the clamp to help piercers verify the diameters, lengths, and gauges of jewelry before piercing.

Ink your style with the new “tattooable” silicone jewelry displays for body parts
We introduced the first “tattooable” silicone body parts and the first tattooable silicone ear plugs, as well as a wide range of innovative tattooable silicone body jewelry displays.

Introducing Push-Fit discs to combat bumps and keloids!
Patrick and Frederic have revisited their “Push-Fit” discs from the BioFlex range to introduce a blend of medical-grade soft plastic, sterilized with EO gas, to help pierced individuals combat “bumps and keloids”, a common irritation in the piercing industry.

“Anti-scratch clips”: avoid scratching your jewelry and increase hygiene!
By changing the habits of using metal to hold body jewelry on displays, we created our own design of “anti-scratch clips” or “scratch-proof clips” to avoid scratching jewelry which represents a dirt trap for bacteria, adding another step for better hygiene.

New comfortable grips and over-grips for tattoo artists!
A range of innovative and comfortable sterilized disposable grips and over-grips for tattoo machine manufacturers has been created in two versions.
One with high-resilience foam to fit most machine brands, and another version made of a dual material with an advanced thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) for added comfort combined with an ergonomic design.

Exclusive bi-material cables for tattoo machines with a twist!
Patrick and his son Frédéric have created a new range of RCA and specialized cables for tattoo machines, addressing the daily challenges faced by tattoo artists with poor connections and stiff cables.
The innovation lies in the bi-material cable connectors, injection-molded and soldered to “fix” the contacts with a rigid material, overmolded with a safe, advanced thermoplastic elastomer.
This provides a smooth, comfortable, and flexible cable specifically designed to move with the tattoo artist.

Revolutionizing tattooing: the POLINK eco-friendly ink dispensing system
The POLINK System is not just a revolutionary ink dispensing system that simplifies the tattooing process and benefits the tattoo community; it’s the long-awaited achievement that took two years to develop!
Compatible with most types of cartridge needles, established tattoo machine brands, and all tattoo ink brands, it’s a universal system that saves time, reduces disruption during tattooing, and minimizes ink and plastic waste, making it environmentally friendly.
The POLINK System is a major innovation that offers comfort, efficiency, and reliability to tattoo artists and suppliers, helping to advance the tattoo industry.
